This is the Best Hindu Temple in Sacramento, Folsom, Elk Grove, Roseville area. This is the topmost temple on the west coast that hosts some of the greatest speakers from India, on Ramayan and Bhagavat pravachan in Hindi. Speakers including Krishna Chand Thakurji of Vrindavan (who is known to have 50-100,000 in his audience in India), Ram Kamal Das Vedanti (Varanasi), Akilji Maharaj (Vrindavan), Ananth Acharya (Vrindavan).
Best part about the temple, that I like, are the devotees who visit the temple. I am the person who encourages devotees standing in the line to take Prasad, to chant Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.
Many of the devotees from Fiji islands are very pious and have a lot of respect for the Holy Names of the Lord, and understanding that Names are none different than Lord Himself. At least 95% of them respond to my Hare Krishna chant. Much higher than any ISKCON temple I have tried 🙂 So, thank you for your support (even encouraging your children to chant, yes children get 1000 times more benefit, because they are pure hearted and chant from their heart with no expectation of material benefit, whatsoever) and please accept my humble obeisance to your feet, for responding to the Kirtan. Please forgive me if I have offended anyone in my enthusiasm to encourage you to chant Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!!
Beautiful and peaceful Temple please come to the every Tuesday evening for Ramayan
Ok so as I walked around the outside shiv murti with water fountain. I was disappointed to see some trash and empty water bottles in it. In my opinion this is disrespectful to lord shiva. Suggestion is to have it cleaned and filtered on weekly basis. And to stop algie growth to put some fishes in it. Also there is lots of bird poop in the front area when entering the mandir. This should be cleaned on daily basis. Yes understandable of birds which lives there. Also when using ladies room there was no hand soap nor paper towels, this was my experience and observation during my visit on May 20th, 2017. Very glad that the mandir exist. Please take care if it with TLC, as in respect to the founder may u RIP nana n mosa. Thank you for letting me voice my opinion..
This is a religious Hindu temple mostly attended by people from greater Sacramento area. In addition to religious rituals, social events for birthdays, marriages and business meetings also take place here. India Association of Sacramento organized a fundraising and material support drive for earthquake victims of Nepal in the premises of this temple. Language and arts classes are also organized here.
Great place to find peace. We have been coming to this temple from past 6 years now. We love coming here, since they have many different idols to relate to your religiousness. The temple has ample place for any kind of big pooja or religious ceremony. The front garden and a water fountain with lord shiva's idol, makes it perfect place to find peace and harmony. Love this temple so very much, will continue coming here without a doubt. Jai Bholenath!!!
